Frequently Asked Questions
How does the program work?
This program is built around accountability and support. Everything you need to succeed — information, tips, and strategies — is right here on the site. The one ingredient only you can bring is your own commitment.
We’re in this together. By visiting regularly, engaging with the content, and supporting one another, you’ll build the habits that lead to lasting change. Even if you stumble, you’re encouraged to get back up and keep moving forward. This isn’t a quick fix — it’s a lifelong journey — and quitting isn’t an option.
Make this site part of your daily routine. Let the information, encouragement, and community here give you the inspiration you need to stay on track.
What resources are available?
This site is more than articles — it’s a living, evolving resource built on my own journey. I’m also living with obesity: at 5’5” and over 300 pounds, I’m working to lose more than 100 pounds myself. Each week, I document my progress openly and honestly.
As I try different methods to lose weight, I’ll share what works, what doesn’t, and why. My goal isn’t just to lose 100 pounds personally, but to help America lose millions of pounds by providing real-world information, support, and encouragement. You’ll find practical tips, updates, and inspiration right here as we all move forward together.
How can I connect with others?
You’re not alone on this journey. Join our supportive community, where members share their progress, offer motivation, and celebrate each other’s successes. Together we hold ourselves accountable, learn from one another, and build habits that last.
Keep reading and exploring the information on this site. The more we understand how we got here, the more empowered we are to change our lifestyles. This isn’t just a diet — it’s a reprogramming of how we live and treat our bodies.
By coming together, we’re not only improving ourselves; we’re proving that we can rise as a community and as a nation to build healthier, stronger lives.
Is this program suitable for everyone?
Absolutely. This community is for anyone — whether you have a lot of weight to lose, a little, or simply want to live a healthier life. It’s not a “diet” and it’s not a one-size-fits-all program. What we’re building here is a movement to reprogram our habits: learning to eat better, move more, and support each other in living healthier lives.
This matters for adults and children alike. Right now, about one in five children in the U.S. is living with obesity. That isn’t just a statistic; it’s a wake-up call. Our kids learn their habits from us, and we have the power — and responsibility — to model healthier choices.
By joining together, we can create change at home, in our communities, and across the nation. Let’s show the world that America can rise to this challenge, support our children, and build a healthier future for everyone.
How do I stay motivated?
The key to motivation is building small, achievable habits and tracking your progress. Start by writing down your goals — even tiny ones — and check them off as you achieve them. For example, begin with walking three times a week. Seeing your progress on paper (or on this site) keeps you focused and inspired.
Be active in our community. Respond to posts and pictures, offer encouragement, and celebrate others’ milestones. The more you connect, the more accountable and supported you’ll feel. You can even find a “goal buddy” with similar objectives and challenge each other — to walk five times a week, to give up soda, or to try a new healthy habit.
Here are some of my own goals:
Cut back on sugar — cookies, candy, cake, soda.
Skip Starbucks and make coffee at home with sugar-free flavorings.
Walk my dogs at least five times a week.
Get more exercise during my kids’ soccer practices instead of sitting on the sidelines.
Use a dog-training program (featured on my other site, MyGreatDane.org) and train my dogs every day as another way to stay active.
I’ll be documenting my successes and setbacks here so you can see my real progress. Motivation isn’t about perfection; it’s about setting small goals, taking action, and surrounding yourself with people who lift you up. Together, we can keep each other going.
